TEN THOUSAND STRONGER

The University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.G. Kiama on Thursday, September 3, 2020, led the University in welcoming first-year students, September intake. During the traditional VC’s freshmen virtual address, Prof. Kiama stated that students will commence their studies after the orientation week, with lectures being conducted online. The orientation week aims at allowing students to settle down and expose them to the various activities, opportunities and the whole structure of the University of Nairobi.

The new students were congratulated for having chosen the University of Nairobi as their preferred University, and are promised that they will tap from the best brains in the region, as the institution has a rich pool of professors and Emeritus professors. The VC also implored the students to take advantage of all the resources and the many opportunities in the university to challenge their perspectives and curiosity. The students are also to benefit and be enriched with digital ways of learning and in preparation of working in the digital era even beyond the COVID-19 Pandemic.

We, the Directorate of Quality Assurance join hands with the whole of the university to warmly welcome the new students of the 2020 September-intake to the University of Nairobi, and assure you that we will continue to perform our mandate to the best of our ability to ensure that you get the best quality in your field of study.
